这首“Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”是Eurythmics的第一首冠军单曲，里面的经典歌词“Everybody’s looking for something”被无数的人采样，大概是整个八十年代最精准的写照之一吧。也就是从这首歌开始，Eurythmics开始了他们的热门之旅，到90年解散时，他们的每一张专辑都保证了至少一首排行榜热门单曲。Eurythmics和Depeche Mode、Duran Duran一起，开辟了整个Synth Pop（合成器流行乐）的时代。
总是在说Lennox，实际上如果没有Eurythmics另一个成员Dave Stewart，怕也无法创造如此辉煌的历史。很难说清楚这两人之间的纠葛，他们曾经是情侣，可只有当他们情感上分手事业上合作之后，他们的团体才大获成功。这两个人始终没有在一起生活，他们之间的分分合合成就了Eurythmics，也最终让Eurythmics消散于无形。99年两人经过各自单飞之后重组发行的唱片《Peace》中，有一张照片，两人穿了白色的棉布衣衫，紧紧依偎，我相信这一刻，他们的心真的在一起，如同过去的无数个瞬间。
同样在这张《Peace》里，Annie唱了一首歌——"17 Again"。

我想，每一个从她的早期的歌一路听来的乐迷在听到这首交织了悲伤和喜悦的“重回17岁“之后，难有不动容的。99年，Annie四十五岁，两个孩子的母亲，被誉为乐坛的”首席女伶“，那对过往青春追忆的如烟感却是古今一般同。我有理由相信，这首歌是Annie唱给Dave的，所有年轻时所面临的迷茫歧路在如今看来虽依然迷乱却不再恐惧，唯一的遗憾是我们再也回不去了。所谓名声，所谓成就，尘归尘土归土；那些责难，那些误解，全都徒劳无功。没有什么能够真正伤害我们，唯一的考验便是时间，当喧嚣褪去，贴心的地方依然柔软。歌的最后，Annie重唱了”Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)“里的副歌，一切从这里开始，便让一切在这里结束。
这张专辑的巡演结束之后，Eurythmics再次解散。去年Annie Lennox又出了新的个人专辑《Bare》，在她即将50岁的时候。
